Its Rich Culture
Lebanon has a great rich ancient culture. Back to the ages, it was a literally a home of great natural vegetation, civilizations like Assyrians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Romans and the French. So, it can be said that Lebanon had been a potpourri of diverse cultures and civilizations. As people belonging to different castes and creeds lives here, there has been a great diversity in the mass which has added to its wide-ranging music, festivals, cuisine, literature and much more.
Lebanon boasts peerless, stunning music and can be heard and enjoyed not solely in house corridors but in public venues also as hotels, restaurants, bars etc, with awesome rhythms and beats of the Middle East. Here you will also like to listen and watch the music of some best homespun musical singers and artists namely Julia Boutros, Marcel Khalife, Fariruz and Wadih El Safi. The great country has also rich heritage. And what they say Lebanon has been a land of some very prolific writers—one of them is Khalil Gibran. Being born and bred in Bsharri, (earlier located in Syria) was the writer of “The Prophet”, a very inspiring and appealing piece of literature. Cities scattered in the country are globally popular for offering the tourists an intense and admirable collection of magazines, books and other printed reading materials.

For sports aficionados, Lebanon is seemly best destination as the Lebanese are extensively intoxicated in sports. Some of the richly played sports here are swimming, football, basketball, and skiing. Concerning skiing, you will find at least six ski resorts where you can do snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling etc. A few facilities catering to the services are associated to diversion activities like sailing, cycling, spelunking and hiking. Lebanon also stands out in organizing Beirut Marathon every year to drive domestic and worldwide runners.
Festivals or gala events
Lebanon hosts various festivals and gala events with great pomp and show wherein all domestic and global contestants can take part in: Beiteddine Festival, Al-Bustan Festival, Beirut Nights, Al-Bustan Festival, Byblos International Festival etc. Besides this, it is also quite dazzling for a tourist to watch the Eid-ul-Fitr, representing the end of Ramadan and Eid-al-Adha representing the end of Hajh, the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca.
Modes of traveling in Lebanon
While in Lebanon, tourists are specifically advised to keep their passports on them for the sake of convenience. Through the mean of public transportation, you can reach Lebanon by primarily traveling through Syria as it lies quite near to it. However, most tourists travel through buses as they are the most convenient means for long-distance traveling and also because they are very neat and clean and managed duly. Services taxis can also be hired at negotiable rates. Motorcars and motorcycles can be introduced in Lebanon provided you must have International Driving Permit and a Carnet Passage en Douane as well.
